29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. a) In the Electrode room, employee(s) were exposed to the unused portion of the blade on the Grob verticle band saw due to no guard in place. b) In the Electrode room, employee(s) were exposed to the rotating chuck and jaws on the Hardinge lathe due to no guard in place.
