29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1):     Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge:    Fred's Super Dollar, Dillard, GA - Employees worked in the storage room located in the back of the store. The exit door was pad locked, preventing employees from exiting without a key in the event of an emergency, on or about 5/29/12.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3):     Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed:    Fred's Super Dollar, Dillard, GA -  Merchandise was placed on the aisles obstructing the exit route on the following aisles, on or about 5/29/12:    a) The width of aisle #22 was reduced to 20 inches with boxes of glasses;    b) The width of aisle #24 was reduced with boxes of bleach bottles;    c) The width of the areas in the back of the store was reduced with boxes a general merchandise;    d) The width of aisle #16 was reduced boxes of dog food and cat litter.    No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(7):     Each exit sign did not have the word "Exit" in plainly eligible letters not less than six inches (15.2 cm) high, with the principal strokes of the letters in the word "Exit" not less than three fourths of an inch (1.9 cm) wide:    Fred's Super Dollar, Dillard, GA - The emergency side door of the store had an emergency exit sign with letters less than six inches in high, on or about 5/29/12.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
