29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c). The employer had not complied with the provisions of 29 CFR 1926.652(b)(1)(i) a. At the site, employees are exposed to a cave in hazard, in that; no protective system was installed in a trench 7 feet deep, 7 feet wide and 25 feet long. The south trench wall was constructed at an 85 degree angle. The North trench wall was constructed at a 58.8 degree angle in type C soil, on or about 05/15/12.
