29 CFR 1910.107(g)(2): Cleaning. All spraying areas shall be kept as free from the accumulation of deposits of combustible residues as practical, with cleaning conducted daily if necessary. Scrapers, spuds, or other such tools used for cleaning purposes shall be of nonsparking material. Painters were exposed to fire hazards in that the paint booth located in Department 126 was not kept free of combustible paint residue.

29 CFR 1910.1026(j)(1)(i): All surfaces are maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of chromium (VI). Employees in department 122 were exposed to Chromium VI hazards in that tables were used for holding parts during spray painting and then removed from the regulated area to transport the painted parts to the oven. The tables had accumulations of Chromium VI primer.

29 CFR 1910.1026(h)(2)(i): The employer shall ensure that employees remove all protective clothing and equipment contaminated with chromium (VI) at the end of the work shift or at the completion of their tasks involving chromium (VI) exposure, whichever comes first. Employees were exposed to Chromium VI hazards in that painters did not remove their paint contaminated shoes before leaving the regulated area in Department 122 and Building W 19. Cessna Aircraft Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.1026(h)(2)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312804214, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/5/2010, with respect to a workplace located at One Cessna Blvd Wichita, KS 67215.
