29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) a) Hanger Area: On or about May 15, 2012, and prior to, the employer exposed employees to health hazards such as histoplasmosis from bird fecal matter without a written certified hazard assessment to assure proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is used while removing bird fecal matter and cleaning dust and debris from hanger walls, ceilings and rafters.
