Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. On or about 05/31/2012, at the job site - employees installing roofing material to an existing building were exposed to a 9'10" fall hazard, in that, employees were permitted to work without the use of fall protection.
