29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal arrest systems: JOB SITE: 429 Main Street, Pevely, MO 63070, at this work site, three (3) workers were observed on top of an 6:12 pitch roof, approximately 40 feet wide, approximately 8 feet 10 inches above ground level, actively install new roof shingles, and were not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems. The workers were exposed to a fall hazard.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards: JOB SITE: 429 Main Street, Pevely, MO 63070, the employer failed to provide a training program to train his workers on the hazards of falls and the protective systems used to eliminate or reduce the hazards. The workers were allowed to work from an 6:12 pitch roof, approximately 40 feet wide, and approximately 8 feet 10 inches above lower level, without any form of fall protection. The workers were exposed to a fall hazard.
