29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:    (a)	Aerocom Industries at 1921 Miller Drive, Longmont, CO 80501:  On and before 6/1/12, the employees were not provided suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes within the Nital etching area where chemicals are used, such as but not limited to, corrosives containing sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and simple green.  This condition exposed employees to a corrosive liquid hazard.    (b)	Aerocom Industries at 1921 Miller Drive, Longmont, CO 80501:  On and before 6/1/12, the employees were not provided suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes within the assembly area where chemicals are used, such as but not limited to, corrosives containing 2-butoxyethanol in Branson MC-2 solutions and simple green solutions.  This condition exposed employees to a corrosive liquid hazard.    Abatement Note:  A feasible means of abatement includes but is not limited to: 1) a portable eye wash device, appropriate for the expected hazardous exposure, and containing not less than one gallon of potable water; or 2) a plumbed emergency eyewash unit capable of delivering not less than 1.5 liters (0.4 gallons) of clean water per minute, with flow valves that are simple to operate, go "on" in one second or less, and remain "on" during the eyewash procedure.  For details on emergency eyewash and shower equipment, OSHA references the American National Standard for Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment, ANSI Z358.1. 29 CFR 1910.215(a)(2): Abrasive wheel(s) used on grinding machinery were not provided with safety guard(s) which covered the spindle end, nut, flange projections:      (a)	Aerocom Industries at 1921 Miller Drive, Longmont, CO 80501:  On and before 6/1/12, the employer did not ensure that the bench grinder located in the shop had a safety guard which covered the spindle end and nut projection of the abrasive wheel. This condition exposed the employees to the hazards of rotating parts.    Abatement Note:  Abatement certification is NOT required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9):  Guard for abrasive wheel machine where the operator stands in front of the machine was not constructed so that the peripheral protecting member could be adjusted to the constantly decreasing diameter of the wheel:    (a)	Aerocom Industries at 1921 Miller Drive, Longmont, CO 80501:  On and before 6/1/12, the employer did not ensure that the bench grinder located in the maintenance room had the correct distance between the wheel periphery and the end of the peripheral member at the top and did not exceed 1/4" because the adjustable tongue was missing. Three employees who were wearing a respirator had not received a medical evaluation. Nital etching containers of Sodium Hydroxide, Hydrochloric acid, Alcohol, Branson MC-2 solutions, Simple Green all-purpose cleaning solution were transferred into smaller containers.
