29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation shall be protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section: On the site located at 5363 Kuszmaul Avenue in Champion, OH: An employee installing a sanitary sewer worked in an excavation that ranged along its length from 6.5 to 7.5 feet in depth, without soil cave-in protection.
