29 CFR 1910.22(d) (1): In every building or other structure, or part thereof, used for mercantile, business, industrial, or storage purposes, the loads approved by the building official were not marked on plates of approved design which shall be supplied and securely affixed by the owner of the building, or his duly authorized agent, in a conspicuous place in each space to which they relate. Such plates shall not be removed or defaced but, if lost, removed, or defaced, shall be replaced by the owner or his agent:    This violation occurred on June 13, 2012, at a workplace located at 1425 North Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas 75070, where the employer allowed the tops of buildings and mezzanines to be used as storage areas. The storage areas did not have the load ratings posted on them.     Instance: a) This violation was discovered on June 13, 2012, at a workplace located at 1425 Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas; where employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from merchandise being stored on the upper landing of employee break room and restrooms.      Instance: b) This violation was discovered on June 13, 2012, at a workplace located at 1425 Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas; where employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from material being stored in and/or on the Shipping/Receiving mezzanine.    Instance: c) This violation was discovered on June 13, 2013, at a workplace located at 1425 Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas; where employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from material being stored in and/or on the Alliance mezzanine.
