29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain a safety program which provides for frequent and regular inspections of jobsites, materials, and equipment to be made by a competent person On or about Wednesday June 13, 2012 in the main lobby and the B and C wings of the constructed building; a). The employer failed to conduct frequent and regular inspection on the site that would have identified the following fall hazards the employees are exposed while working. The employees are exposed to fall hazards ranging from approximately 12 feet 6 inches up to 20 feet 9 inches from ground level. The following instances were observed during the walk-around inspection of the site: 1. Handrails missing on both sides of the stairway in the main lobby entrance. 2. Midrails missing on the stairways in the B and C wings areas of the building. 3. Guardrails missing on the stairway platform in the main lobby entrance. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
