29 CFR 1926.200(g)(2): Traffic control signs or devices used for protection of construction workers did not conform to Part VI of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD"), 1988 Edition, Revision 3, September 3, 1993, FHWA-SA-94-027 or Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Millenium Edition, December 2000, FHWA. Stettner and Associates, Inc. did not conform to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Millenium Edition, Section 6H.04 when employees engaged in short duration shoulder survey operations on I-88 near Mile Post 114.25 without warning approaching road users of workers on an open shoulder. Road users were not warned by the use of vehicle mounted rotating lights, strobe lights or by signage of workers on the shoulder. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordand with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
