OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard: a) On or about June 19, 2012 - On the Northside of Robins Rentals in Hunstville, AL, an employee was observed standing on the forks of a powered industrial truck, Model #8fvg32, Serial #10175, while assisting with the removal of a steel beam. The employee was 14 feet above the ground. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard would be to ensure that employees do not stand on forks of a powered industrial vehicle in accordance with ASME B56.1-1993, Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks, Section 4.17.2 and 4.17.3, Consensus Standard 2005.
