29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems.    The employer does not ensure that each employee engaged in steel erection activities who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet above a lower level is protected from fall hazards by a fall protection system.  This violation was observed on or about 6/18/12, on the roof of a newly built commercial warehouse where employees were exposed to a fall hazard greater than 15 feet when replacing missing screws on steel without a fall protection system.      THE MIDCITIES ERECTORS LLC WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 1926.501(B)(1) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 313500340, CITATION NUMBER 1, ISSUED ON 8/2/2011, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED IN EL PASO, TEXAS.  THIS CASE WAS CLOSED ON 8/30/2011.
