The employer does not ensure that each employee engaged in steel erection activities who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet above a lower level is protected from fall hazards by a fall protection system.  This violation was observed on or about 6/18/12, on the roof of a newly built commercial warehouse where employees were exposed to a fall hazard greater than 15 feet when replacing missing screws on steel without a fall protection system.      THE MIDCITIES ERECTORS LLC WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 1926.501(B)(1) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 313500340, CITATION NUMBER 1, ISSUED ON 8/2/2011, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED IN EL PASO, TEXAS.  THIS CASE WAS CLOSED ON 8/30/2011.
