29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a)Roof Top at Essex County Airport, Fairfield, NJ:Employee exposed to falls of approximately 8 feet to the ground below while walking/working on the roof of a hanger, with no fall protection being utilized. Employee moving from ladder to work area without wearing protection. Violation observed on or about 6/19/12.
