29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):     Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor  did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502.    A) Roof of Building, on or about June 21, 2012, employees were performing roofing work, such as installing shingles with out having the lanyard from the safety harness connected to the life line, exposing employees to a fall hazard of between 10  feet and 20 feet.    ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):     Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladders length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigied support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist emmployees in mounting and dismounting the ladder.    A) North side of building on or about June 21, 2012, employees used two streight ladders that were not extended 36 inches above the landing surface to access the roof of the building, exposing employees to a fall hazard of 10 feet.     ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED.
