29 CFR 1910.67(c)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and a lanyard attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: The employer does not ensure that employees wear fall protection while working from an aerial lift. This violation was observed on or about June 19, 2012 in the parking lot of a shopping center where an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while replacing light bulbs from an aerial lift without a personal fall arrest system. M.C. Lighting Maintenance was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314000795, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 16, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 19746 Interstate 45, Spring, TX 77388. Pursuant to 29 C.F. R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that for each employee a body belt or fall protection system is worn and a lanyard attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift.
