29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: On June 26, 2012 an employee was using a ladder to access the roof. The ladder was not extended three feet above the landing surface exposing the employee to a fall hazard. Documentation or Certification is not required for this item Raby Roofing, Incorporated was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314032293, citation number 01, item number 03, and was affirmed as a final order on February 11, 2010 with respect to a workplace located at 0N050-0N060 Woodland Court Winfield, IL 60189.
