29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1):  Employees shall be provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents.    At the jobsite located at 11601 W. 153rd St., Overland Park KS:  Employees engaged in residential roofing activities using pneumatic nailers were exposed to struck-by injuries in that eye protection was not provided.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):  The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.    At the jobsite located at 11601 W. 153rd St., Overland Park KS:  Employees engaged in residential roofing activities were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 and 20 feet to the ground below in that fall protection training had not been provided.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):  "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. Exception: When the employer can demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems, the employer shall develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502.    At the jobsite located at 11601 W. 153rd, Overland Park KS:  Employees engaged in residential roofing activities from a 4:12 and 6:12 pitch roof were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10' and 20' to the ground below in that fall protection was not provided.      ESTEBAN RAMIREZ WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH  STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1926.501(B)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 314470386, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM 1, ISSUED ON 12/23/2010, WITH THE FINAL ORDER DATE OF 01/19/2011, WITH RESPECT TO A JOB SITE LOCATED AT 1940 WOODLAND AVE, KANSAS CITY, MO.
