29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from from falling objects: a) Briggs Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Two employees, working on the ground, were exposed to potential overhead struck-by hazards from falling tools, materials and supplies and were not wearing hard hats. Observed on or about 06/28/2012. NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASE FILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Briggs Road, Mount Laurel, NJ: Two A. Brooks Roofing Co. employees were observed working at the edge of the flat roof of a commercial strip mall under renovation/construction. The workers were observed on the roof moving materials, supplies and tools. The employees were not provided adequate fall protection (PFAS, safety nets, guardrails, flag line, safety monitor, etc.) for this site. Employees were exposed to a fall hazards greater than 20 feet, from the roof to the ground. Observed on or about 06/28/2012. NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASE FILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.
