29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspection of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in a possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmosphere, or other hazardous conditions: a) On or about June 28, 2012, employees were exposed to injury while working in a trench in that, a competent person did not perform a manual inspection of the trench prior to start of work and as needed through the day. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Correction Action Worksheet").
