29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). A.) Wilson Excavating & Grading, Inc., East State Street & Euclid Avenue, Sharon, PA 16146, on or about June 27, 2012: An employee of the company was performing work in a 7.3 feet deep trench, consisting of Type B Cohesive Sandy Clay, without a means or method of trench cave-in protection. Wilson Excavating and Grading, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 113177828, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on February 21, 2008, with respect to a workplace located at Route 66 and Walnut Street in Marienville, Pennsylvania.
