29 CFR 1926.651(c)(2): A stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress was not located in trench excavations that were 4 feet (1.22m) or more in depth so as to require no more than 25 feet (7.62m) of lateral travel for employees: a) 18th. Street Commons, Selisngrove, PA; An employee was using a hand shovel to dig for gas line in a 35 foot long 4 foot 10 inch deep excavation without a ladder in place. The employees was exposed to a possible hazard while entering and exiting the excavation, on or about 06/26/12. Abatement Observed During Inspection - No Abatement Certification Required
