(a). Worksite located at 2450 SE Blue Parkway, Lee's Summit, Missouri- Employees were observed climbing out of the aerial lift and on to the top of the steel.

29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt shall be worn and a lanyard attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift. Note to paragraph (b)(2)(v): As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated under 1926.502(e). (a). Worksite located at 2450 SE Blue Parkway, Lee's Summit, Missouri- Employees were observed working out of an aerial lift in which the employees had failed to connect their lanyards to the boom or the basket of the lift.

29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Except as provided by paragraph (a)(3) of this section, each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level shall be protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems. (a). Worksite located at 2450 SE Blue Parkway, Lee's Summit, Missouri- An employee was observed walking and working on top of the structural steel without the use of any means of fall protection.
