29 CFR 1926.96: Safety-toe footwear for employees shall meet the requirements and specifications in American National Standard for Men's Safety-Toe Footwear, Z41.1-1967. A. On or about 6/29/12, on the ground floor of 64-33 232nd Street. Oakland Gardens, NY Employees working at the site were exposed to foot injuries. The employees wore the pair of causal shoes. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 ft (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: A) on or about 06/29/12, at the site of 64-33 232nd Street. Oakland Gardens, NY Employees were using a portable ladder for gain access to a second floor in the back of the house. The ladder side rails extended one foot above the upper landing surface. The employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 15 ft to concrete ground below. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
