OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):     Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees performing employees separating linens in the soil room during elevated heat conditions were exposed to excessive heat:    a)  7 North Franklin Avenue, Pleasantville, NJ:  On June 29, 2012 an employee working on the 2nd shift separating linens in the soil room during an excessive heat advisory issued by the National Weather Service suffered heat exhaustion.  The employee began work at 3:30 p.m. on June 29, 2012, and the heat index was 102F at 4:00 p.m.   The employee collapsed at 4:30 p.m. that day.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i):     Except as elsewhere required or permitted by Subpart S of Part 1910, live parts of electric equipment operating  at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by use of approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures or by any of the means identified in paragraphs (A), (B), (C), and (D) of 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i):    a)  7 N. Franklin Avenue, Pleasantville, NJ:  The electrical panel box that was used to house the wiring for the conveyor system in the soil room was opened and the internal wires were exposed and in close proximity to the moving conveyor, observed on or about 7/19/12.
