29 CFR 1926.652(g)(2):     Excavations of earth material to a level greater than 2 feet (.61 m) below the bottom of a shield shall not be permitted.    At this jobsite employees were repairing a utility pipeline using an approximate 10 foot trench box. The trench box was positioned more than two (2) feet above the bottom of the trench exposing employees to a cave-in hazard.
