29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. The employer does not ensure that each employee engaged in steel ereection activiies who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet above a lower level is protected from fall hazards by a fall protection system. This violation was observed on or about 7/18/12, on the roof of a newly built grocery store where emplyees were exposed to a fall hazard greater than 15 feet when attaching decking material on steel without a fall protection system.
