29 CFR 1910.157(e)(3): Portable fire extinguishers were not subjected to an annual maintenance check. Applies to any extinguishers provided in the workplace. Maintenance check includes an internal examination, except extinguishers with stored pressure. At this workplace, employees conducting mud engineering operations worked with flammable liquids in a trailer unit containing living quarters and a work area. One of two fire extinguishers placed in the trailer unit was not annually inspected.
