29 CFR 1926.652(g)(2): Excavations of earth material to a level no greater than 2 feet (.61 m) below the bottom of a shield was permitted:    (a) For the employees exposed to trench cave-in hazards where a trench box was four feet above the bottom of the 12-foot trench at the south side of the Eisenhower and Tower Road Expansion, Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota.    (b) For the employees exposed to trench cave-in hazards where a trench box was four feet above the bottom of the 10-foot trench at the north side of the Eisenhower and Tower Road Expansion, Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota.
