29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer shall administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program, as described in paragraphs (c) through (o) of this section, whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85 decibels measured on the A scale (slow response) or, equivalently, a dose of fifty percent: a.) Arrow Casting Company - On or about 11/05/12, an Ametek MK-2 noise dosimeter was placed on an employee performing molding/laborer duties in the production area . The dosimeter was allowed to run for 475 minutes. The equivalent 8-hour dose was 92.1% and the 8-hour time-wieghted average was 89.4dB. The Company did not administer a hearing conservation program, in accordance with paragraphs (c) through (o) of 29 CFR 1910.95, for company employees exposed to noise levels greater than 85 dB as an 8-hour Time Weighted Average.

Arrow Casting Company - On or about 11/05/12, an Ametek MK-2 noise dosimeter was placed on a molder/laborer in the production area . The dosimeter was allowed to run for 475 minutes. The equivalent 8-hour dose was 92.1% for the employee and the 8-hour time-wieghted average was 89.4dB. The Company had not conducted noise monitoring in their facility since approximately 2007.
