29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: A). Plant Area/Dip Tank Area/Eye Wash Unit - On or about July 17, 2012, employee(s) of the company performed dip tank work that utilized caustic soda. The emergency eye wash and shower station did not have water pressure. In addition, the eye wash units sprinkler outlets and basin were dirty. B.) Apex Hydraulic and Machine Incorporated - On or about July 17, 2012, an eye wash unit inspection program was not developed and implmented. Eye wash units in the facility contained defects which included but were not limited to inadequate water pressure and dirty basin/sprinkler outlets.
