OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees At the site as well as other locations when delivering: Employer did not ensure that each employee was trained in the safe, proper and correct way to manually lift a pallet jack from the bed of the delivery truck when delivering material and equipment to a job site. This violation occurred on July 24, 2012 at a work site located behind Building 1, 940 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA. To abate this violation the employer must ensure that all delivery personnel who manually lift a pallet jack are trained in the proper procedures for doing so safely. A worker suffered an amputation when manually lifting a pallet jack.
