29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1): When scaffold platforms were more than 2 feet (0.6 m) above or below a point of access, portable ladders, hook-on ladders, attachable ladders, stair towers (scaffold stairways/towers), stairway-type ladders (such as ladder stands), ramps, walkways, integral prefabricated scaffold access, or direct access from other scaffold, sturcure, personnel hoist, or similar surface was not used. Cross braces were used as a means of access: (a) On or about 07/25/2012 - 500 2nd Ave SW, Cullman, AL, employees were not provided a safe means of access to the upper levels of the scaffolding system they were working from. The Applied Masonry was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313766388, citation number 2, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on 2 Dec 2009, with respect to a workplace located at 6700 Trussville Clay Road, Trussville, AL. 35173.
