29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c). Worksite: The employees, who were working in an excavation that was up to six and a half feet deep were not protected from trench/wall cave-ins by an adequate cave-in protection system or an equivalent. Earthmovers Incorporated was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 316179282, citation number 02, item number 001, and was affirmed as a final order on March 21, 2012, with respect to a workplace located on Reserve Road (Abby Woods) in Danbury, CT.
