This violation occurred on July 24, 2012, at a workplace located at 6354 Marquita Ave., Dallas, TX 75214; where at least seven (7) employees were observed working on a residential roof using hammers without the use of eye protection.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):     "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.     This violation occurred on July 24, 2012, at a workplace located at 6244 Monticello Ave., Dallas, Texas 75214; where at least seven (7) employees were observed working on a residential roof without the use of fall protection.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): When portable ladders are used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet  above the upper landing surface to which the ladder is used to gain access;     This violation occurred on July 24, 2012, at a workplace located at 6244 Monticello Ave., Dallas, Texas 75214; where at least seven (7) employees were observed using an extension ladder that did not extend at least 3-feet above the landing of the roof.
