OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that workers and an employee were exposed to internal injuries, fractures, or death due to the collapse of roof trusses and other structural members: Belmont Boat Works Addition - On July 23, 2012, three sub-contractors and one Warren & Warren Associates employee working on, inside and adjacent to the framed structure were exposed to the hazards of collapse of more than 22 inadequately braced and over loaded roof trusses.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Belmont Boat Works Addition - The controlling employer did not provide fall protection for his employee working eight feet above the ground and a sub-contractor installing OSB sheets approximately 30 feet above the ground.
