29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c). On or about July 25, 2012 employees were working in a trench measured at 8 feet in depth doing a watermain tap without cave-in protection, the employees were there by exposed to the hazards associated with a trench collapse. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
