29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. On July 18, 2012, and times prior to, in the Northwest part of the sewing room machine guarding was not present on a sewing machine. This conditon exposed employees to rotating parts such as a belt and pulley.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(5): Fan blade guards, where the periphery of the blades was less than seven feet above the floor or working level, had openings larger than one half inch. On July 18, 2012, and times prior to, employees were working near an evaporative cooler which did not have adequate machine guarding. This condiiton exposed employees to lacerations and potential amputation.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii): The required working space about electrical equipment rated 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground, was in a passageway or general open space and was not suitably guarded when normally enclosed live parts were exposed for inspection or servicing. On July 18, 2012, and times prior to, the electrical panel used to control the vacuums in the building was blocked. In the event of an emergecy, employee would not have safe access to turn off power to the buidling.
