29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: Employer exposed employees to fire hazards by using extension cords as permanent wiring Instance 1) Florscent Lighting fixture located by the garage door in the press room was powered by an extension cord in a dusty enviroment. Instance 2) Electrical fan located underneath the heater was plugged in using an extension cord by where a roof had been leaking where an umbrella was being used to catch and keep the water away from the fan. Instance 3) Air compressor for the small shirt dryer and fan located at the entrance of the press room was powered by an extension cord and a power strip.
