29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Where powered industrial trucks were found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the trucks were not taken out of service until they had been restored to safe operating condition. On or about 8/2/2012, at 3701 North 29th Avenue, Hollywood, FL, powered industrial trucks found to be in need of repair were not taken out of service: a) The horn on the Crown forklift Model - 30SCTT was inoperable. b) Modifications to the support rails on the overhead guard were made to the Toyota forklift Model - 42-6GFGCU15. c) The back-up alarm on the Mitsubishi forklift Model - 2FBC13 was inoperable. d) Modifications to the support rails on the overhead guard were made to theToyota forklift Model - 7FGC025. e) Modifications to the support rails on the overhead guard were made to the Nissan Optimum forklift Model - CUJ02A2512. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
