29 CFR 1910.36(b)(1): At least two exit routes were not available in a workplace to permit prompt evacuation of employees and other building occupants during an emergency, except as allowed in paragraph (b)(3) of this section. (a) On or about 8/6/2012, in the back office area, the exit door between the office and the shop area was sealed shut, exposing employees to the hazard of being trapped in the office in the event of a fire between the main entrance to the facility and the entrance to the office.

29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge: (a) On or about August 6, 2012, the exit door between the back office and the shop area was sealed shut with foam sealant to prevent fumes from the shop entering the office. The employees working in this office were not able to open this door and were exposed to the hazard of being trapped in the event of a fire occurring between the main entrance to the facility and the door to the office.
