29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling:    Plant:  H40 Rigid PVC Conduit, designed and approved to be used as part of an electrical wiring system, was used to convey compressed air throughout the plant.   The conduit was not designed to be used under internal pressure.

29 CFR 1910.1096(d)(1): The employer did not make such surveys as necessary to evaluate the radiation hazards incident to the production, use, release, disposal or presence of radioactive materials or other sources of radiation under a specific set of conditions:    Plant:  The company had not conducted a radiation survey on Machine #245, a Hamilton Standard E.B. welding unit, in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.  The unit was moved from a location in East Windsor, Connecticut to Tolland, Connecticut.  Radiation surveys had not been done to ensure that all shielding was still in place and effective before it was put into service.

29 CFR 1910.1096(e)(2):  The radiation area(s) were not conspicuously posted with a sign or signs bearing the radiation caution symbol described in 29 CFR 1910.1096(e)(1) and the words:  "Caution, Radiation Area":    Plant:  Signs, label or other effective means were not provided at Machine #245, a Hamilton Standard electron beam welding machine, to indicate the presence of radiation.      Note:  The company may be exempt for posting requirments if the company can document that the machine meets the requirements of paragraph (g) of this standard.
