29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(2)(i): Engineering and work practice controls were not used to eliminate or minimize employees exposure: a) In the lab, on or about August 16, 2012 - Medical Assistants used PSS World Medical Inc., 27 G X 1/2 inch and 25 G X 5/8 inch needles to inject patients with, but not limited to, purified protein derivative, flu vaccines, and other medicines. The needles were attached to a 1 cc syringe. The PSS World Medical Inc., 27 G X 1/2 inch and 25 G X 5/8 inch needles did not have a safety device that would minimize or eliminate exposures.
