29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1):     Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(b) or (c):  (a) In Front of the Railroad Store - An employee worked in a trench 5 feet 7 inches deep, 5 feet 11 inches wide, and 43 feet long, dug in Type B soil, with vertical side walls.  This trench had no cave-in protection, on or about July 25, 2012.  Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
