29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    The employer does not protect employees from falling when working 6 feet or more above lower levels. This violation was observed at the construction site on August 14, 2012 where employees were exposed to fall of 12 ft. while performing construction activities without fall protection.      First American Group was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315545954 Citation Number 1, Item Number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/05/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 26051 Kingsland Blvd. Katy, Texas 77494.    Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are protected from falling when working 6 feet or more above a lower level.
