All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and into which employees could fall, shall be guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement. a) 2030 Hwy 171, De Ridder, LA; Employees subgrading an area above uncapped rebar was exposed to the hazards of palement. The rebar had an unprotected vertical height of approximately 2 feet.
