29 CFR 1926.501(b) (1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: This violation occurred on August 17, 2012, where at least two (2) employees on the northeast side of the job site were observed spreading roof trusses from the roof of a three story commercial building without the use of fall protection and were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 30-feet to the ground below. CARLOS ZARATE WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 310446653, CITATION NUMBER 001, ITEM NUMBER 001, ISSUED ON FEBRUARY 27, 2008, AND WAS AFFIRMED FINAL ORDER ON MARCH 04, 2008, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 6415 OLD DENTON ROAD, FORT WORTH, TEXAS 76131.
