Employees were exposed to falling approximately 20ft to the ground. **In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.199d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.**

29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: Note: As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated under 29 CFR 1926.502(e): a) The employer did not ensure that its employees were protected from falling from the elevated platform of the Grove aerial lift. Employees were exposed to falling approximately 20ft to the ground. b) The employer did not ensure that its employees were protected from falling from the elevated platform of the Sunbelt 460SJ aerial lift. Employees were exposed to falling approximately 20ft to the ground. **In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.199d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
