29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation shall be protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section except when: a) Front Yard, Fountain Excavation - Landscapers installing an underground fountain were not provided with protective systems and thereby exposed to a cave-n hazard form a 10 foot by 10 foot by 6 foot 6 inch deep excavation having vertical walls and being composed of Class B soil, on or about 08/21/2012.
